If you’re a hopeless romantic like me you’re probably really excited that Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! If you’re single, don’t worry – you don’t need to have a significant other to celebrate it. There have been times when I don’t have a Valentine, but I still go out with my girls! It’s about celebrating “love”!
I’ve learned that the best thing you can do is give yourself a touch of glamour, go out with your friends and just have a great time! That’s why, today, I’m going to share easy tips on how to look fabulous and full of energy that day!
FASHION
- First of all, make sure you pick your outfit before Valentine’s Day. The worst thing anybody can do is go shopping the day of, or pick an outfit an hour before heading out.
- If you are tired of wearing dresses, but you still want to look sexy, there are other options out there. Energize your outfit by wearing a jumpsuit or a shorts suit! It’s sexy, classy and different! You may also want to try a flared skirt and a fitted shirt to help you achieve a flirty look. And don’t be afraid of taking chances by wearing bold, energized colors!
- Chicas, you don’t have to wear red just because it’s Valentine’s Day. Wear whatever color makes you feel good. For example, if you’re going out for dinner, you can wear a black dress and accessorize it with a gold clutch or pumps. In fact, I think I’m going to wear a black ensemble with colorful shoes this year.
- Once you have your outfit set, I suggest you put on sexy lingerie to go with your killer outfit. You will automatically feel sexy!
- This brings me to my next tip: Ditch your big bag for a clutch and take only the essentials! Not only will you feel more comfortable by not having to carry a big, heavy bag, but you will also help draw more attention to your stellar outfit and makeup! You just have to remember to pack lightly because of the limited space.

- Because Valentine’s Day falls on a Friday and you may be working that day, make sure you get a mani and pedi the night before. Don’t forget to call the salon in advance because a lot of places get booked quickly! Or, you can also do your nails at home!
- Let’s talk about achieving healthy-looking skin. Who doesn’t like to have a golden glow? I know I do, so I go spray tanning the night before or I apply a tanning lotion at home an hour before I get dressed. But I don’t stop there.
