I have always been into fashion. When I was a child, I would steal my mom’s Vanidades magazine and look at those pictures for days. Soon enough it became one of my favorite magazines. So, when Vanidades contacted me to be their preferred blogger for their Icons of Style cocktail this Thursday, September 19th in New York, I was thrilled. That means that I get to be front and center and have an all access pass to the event, the red carpet and the after party.
At the Icons of Style cocktail, Vanidades will pay tribute to some of the most prominent Latin people in fashion, music, sports, entertainment and philantropy including Eva Mendes and the one and only Oscar de la Renta, who will be the guest of honor. Desde que era chiquita he sido amante de la moda, recuerdo que cuando tenia apenas 5 añitos le robaba la revista Vanidades a mi mama y me ponia a ver las fotos todos los dias. Vanidades es la primera revista que lei y automaticamente se convirtio en una de mis preferidas. Por lo que cuando Vanidades me contacto para ser su bloguera para el cocktail Iconos de Estilo, este jueves 19 de septiembre en Nueva York, no lo pense dos veces y acepte muy emocionada. Eso significa que voy a tener acceso total a la alfombra roja, la gala y la fiesta.
En est cocktail anual, Vanidades entrega sus premios Iconos de Estilo como reconocimiento a las personalidades mas destacadas en el mundo de la moda, la musica, el deporte, el entretenimiento, las artes y la filantropia. Eva Mendes sera galardonada como Icono de Estilo Mujer Vanidades 2013 y el gran diseñador, Oscar de la Renta, recibira el premio de Icono Hombre de Estilo Vanidades 2013.
