I'm enjoying the last couple of days in sunny California before I head to New York ! I'm excited to attend Fashion Week, do my TV segments and see my friends but at the same time I'm not looking forward to the snow and the cold. But a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do :-) About my outfit I feel like I've been wearing darker colors so I was excited to bring out this yellow dress and pair them with my 3.1 Phillip Lim Ora boots. You know this girl LOVES tall boots!

Disfrutando del sol en California antes de irme a Nueva York. Y es que de solo pensar me pelo de frio, hoy nevo en Nueva York y parece que el fin de semana tambien va a nevar. Pero igual me muero de ganas de estar alla para ir a los desfiles de moda durante la Fashion Week, hacer mis segmentos de television y ver a mis amigas :-) Cambiando de tema, les cuento que ultimamente siento que he estado usando colores mas oscuros al vestirme por lo que quise ponerme este vestido amarillo con mis botas altas. Ya saben que AMO las botas sobre la rodilla.

Thanksgiving ...

I completely forgot to post these Thanksgiving pictures ... but it's never too late! This was my first Thanksgiving that I spent away from my family, so I was a little sad in the morning. But as soon as I got on the ferry, to head from Manhattan to New Jersey, I was completely taken away by this view! And you understand why, right? This view gets me every single time. It reminds me how blessed I am to be living my dream and that New York is waiting for me to take over hahaha :-) After that beautiful ferry ride, I arrived in Jersey (5 minute ride) where my gorgeous friend Olivia was waiting for me. It felt great to be away from the city for at least a day and be at a house surrounded by trees lol. I want to take this opportunity to thank my friend Olivia and her beautiful mom Diana for inviting to spend the day with them. I had an amazing time. We laughed, ate, drink and had the best girl time. Thank you for making this a great Thanksgiving!

Me olvide por completo que tenia estas fotos del Día de Acción de Gracias, que se celebro en Estados Unidos el jueves pasado. En Peru no celebramos esta fecha, pero como mi familia y yo tenemos muchos años viviendo en este país, ya lo celebramos. Por lo que ese día me levante un poquito triste, ya que fue la primera vez que no celebraba el Día de Acción de Gracias con mi familia. Pero gracias a mi amiga Olivia y su mama, quienes me invitaron a pasar el día con ellas en Nueva Jersey, la tristeza se fue convirtiendo en alegría. Ademas, tuve que tomar el ferry de Manhattan a Nueva Jersey, que automáticamente me hace sonreír. Y es que estas vistas me hacen recordar lo bendecida que soy. ¿Diganme si las vistas no son espectaculares?

All Black Everything!

First of all I want to thank you for all the sweet messages that I've gotten after I wrote the post "Thankful". At the end of the day, I want to empower women and if by sharing some of my personal stories I'm able do that, then I feel like I have accomplished something! On another note ... Can you believe I wore all black everything? Neither can I. But, it was all part of this week's challenge ( to be monochromatic  ) Actually I've been wearing more and more black since I move to New York, but no worries, I still LIVE for color :-)

Faux-Fur with Spice!

I think I might be the only person wearing this much color in Manhattan, haha. Seriously, I've never seen so many people wear black in one city. I think black can be good, but when you see 95% (Im guessing here) of the people wearing it, it can be a little depressing. So, here I am trying to brighten people's lives :-)

Creo que soy la única persona en todo Manhattan que usa tanto color, jaja. La verdad es que nunca había visto tanta gente en una sola ciudad usar tanto color negro. No es que no me guste ese color, pero cuando ves al 95% por ciento (por decir una cifra) vestida de negro como que te deprimes ¿un poco no?. Por eso, yo me visto con colores vivos y veo la vida a color :-)

Ya he estado en Nueva York un mes y pico y cada vez hay algo nuevo que descubro. El fin de semana fui con una amiga a almorzar y luego me llevo a ver estos murales. La verdad es que cada lugar en Nueva York te trasmite una historia diferente, y todas me encantan.
