Blogalicious 11 in Washington DC
This past weekend I attended Blogalicious 11 conference in Washington DC thanks to Neutrogena. I stayed at the Gaylord National and let me just tell you the hotel was like a city, haha. I am not kidding either, it had everything you needed. I only stepped outside twice¡ I loved waking up and seeing views of the Potomac river. Blogalicious is a conference where bloggers, PR agencies and brands from across the country come together to participate in various events. I met amazing people and reunited with so many blogger friends as well. Overall, it was a great experience. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

El fin de semana pasado tuve la oportunidad de asistir a Blogalicious gracias a Neutrogena. Me quede en el hotel Gaylord National y te cuento que el hotel parecia una mini ciudad. Habia de todos, restaurantes, tiendas, pubs etc. Con decirte que solo sali de mi hotel dos veces. Ademas tenia unas vistas hermosas del rio Potomac. Blogalicious fue el lugar perfecto para conectarme con otras bloggers, agencias de Relaciones Publicas, marcas y personas muy talentosas. Espero que te gusten las fotos.

Who doesn't love Carrie Bradshaw right? I am obsessed with her style and if I could have someone's wardrobe it would have to be hers!!! You already know I love color and Carrie is the queen of it. I just can't get enough of her shoes, bags, hair, everything!!! So, I automatically thought of Carrie for this week's challenge... well, I also wanted to imitate Olivia Palermo and Rachel Zoe's style (maybe next time). This green dress that Carrie wore on Sex and The City the Movie is one of my favorite looks. So, I tried to emulate it but I added my own twist! I didn't have a green dress or coat like hers, so I wore this bright floral dress and added a green cardigan... close enough I hope. I love how the belt and shoes gave the outfit a little edge ... of course I could never compare to Carrie - but I tried!!!

Quien no esta enamorada de Carrie Bradshaw (Sexo en la Ciudad o Sexo en Nueva York) .. bueno yo lo estoy!! Por eso cuando tuve que escoger una celebridad para este reto, automaticamente pense en Carrie ... bueno tambien queria vestirme como Olivia Palermo y Rachel Zoe (las amo). Es que estoy obsesionada con el guardarropa de Carrie, desde los zapatos, las carteras, la ropa, los accesorios, absolutamente todo. Quizas sea porque a Carrie le gustaba vestirse con colores vivos como a mi!!! Este vestido verde que Carrie uso en la pelicula es uno de mis looks preferidos por eso lo escogi para mi reto ... eso si, le quise dar mi propio toque! Lamentablemente no tengo un vestido verde como el de Carrie, por eso me puse use este vestido floreado y le agregue un sueter verde! Aunque no soy Carrie, espero les guste mi version!!!

Santana Row 2011 Fashion Show
Last Saturday my mom and I attended the Santana Row 2011 Fashion Show and we had a great time. I had a chance to meet Taylor Armstrong, from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, who was a special guest at the fashion show. Let me tell you, she has legs for days and is prettier in person. I was surprised how nice and sweet she was. I mean she even told me she loved my dress and wanted to know where I got it. I told her it was from Zara and she said she loved Zara too. I was a little surprised since she had a Hermes Birkin bag and YSL shoes on. We talked about fashion a little bit before she had to go get ready for the next show.

El sabado pasado mi mama y yo fuimos al desfile de modas de Santana Row, la pasamos super bien. Ese dia tuve la oportunidad de conocer a Taylor Armstrong, de las Real Housewives de Beverly Hills. Este es un reality show de mujeres casadas en Beverly Hills.... Pasan este show donde tu vives? Bueno, Taylor tiene unas piernas larguisimas, yo me sentia chiquitita a su lado. La verdad es que me sorprendio lo linda y dulce que es, no me lo esperaba. Hablamos de todo un poco y me pregunto que donde me habia comprado el vestido, que le encantaba. Al decirle que me lo compre en Zara, me dijo que a ella le gustaba esa tienda... Para una mujer que llevaba una cartera Hermes Birkin y unos zapatos YSL me sorprendio mucho!

Color Blocking
I hope you had a great weekend! On Saturday, I hang out with one of my best friends, Mercedes, and we had a great time!! Today my mom and I went to church, had lunch and run errands after! Overall it was a fabulous weekend. Oh, I also rearranged my shoes and jewelry, it literally took me 5 hours!!!

Espero que hayas tenido un súper fin de semana! Yo la pase super, el sábado sali con una de mis mejores amigas, Mechita, y hoy la pase con mi mama todo el día. Que te puedo decir .. mejor no la pude haber pasado. A, también arregle mis zapatos y joyas, no puedo creer que me tomo como 5 horas. Pero felizmente ya acabe con eso.
Onto the outfit ... besides hats, I am also obsessed with blazers. I am loving this white one that I got at Zara. I wore it to the Hispanicize event last week, to see pics click here. I decided to pair it with this cobalt blue skirt and this H&M top. Loving mixing bright colors - color block all the way!

Te cuento que ademas de sombreros, también me fascinan los sacos. Este saco blanco de Zara es uno de mis preferidos. Me lo compre hace 2 semanas y ya me lo he puesto varias veces!!
