I am loving my stay in California, being around my family and friends is simply the best! Plus the weather is just amazing, no need to layer and layer and layer like in NYC. And as you can tell no tripod for now ... my mom has been taking all my pictures! Thank you mom, you are the BEST, I LOVE YOU :-)

Estoy disfrutando al maximo mi estadia aqui en California. Para mi estar rodeada de mi familia y amig@s es lo maximo. Ademas el clima esta divino, no tengo que andar con miles de capas como en Nueva York. Y como se podran dar cuenta, mi mama me esta tomando las fotos ... el tripode me tenia un poquito cansada ya jaja. Gracias por las fotitos y por tenerme paciencia ma, te ADORO :-)

What are contrasting colors? Two colors from different segments of the color wheel (shown at the bottom of the post)  are contrasting colors. For example, red is from the warm half of the color wheel and blue is from the cool half. They are contrasting colors.

Cuales son los colores que contrastan? Los colores que contrastan son los que se basan en el uso de colores que se encuentran opuestos en la rueda de colores (foto al final del post).  Por ejemplo el rojo es el opuesto del verde, el amarillo es el opuesto del violeta o el azul es opuesto al naranja.

Gucci-Inspired Outfit!

I'm sorry for the lack of "outfit posts" lately, as many of you know, I was in bed for the past 5 days. I think I had the flu or something.  But, yesterday I said to myself "ok, Flor it's time to get out of the house". So, I put lipstick on, did my hair and stepped out for a little bit.  It was excactly what I need it, I feel much better today.

This outfit was inspired by Gucci's Fall/Winter 2011 collection. I am in love with the textures, colors, cuts....everything!!!

Primero que todo mil disculpas por no haber actualizado la sección de lo que me pongo. Como muchas de uds. saben he estado enferma y en cama desde la semana pasada, parece que me dio gripe.  Pero ayer , ya estaba cansada de estar en casa, así que me arregle y salí por allí. La verdad es que me sentí mucho mejor después,  jajaja.

Ya les conte que estoy completamente enamorada de la colección de Otoño/Invierno de Gucci 2011. Me fascinan los colores, las texturas y los cortes... bueno, absolutamente todo! Cuando arme este outfit me inspire en esa colección.  Te gusta?

Spring 2011 Fashion Trend: Color

I don't remember the last time that I saw this much color on the runways!  This Spring is going to be heaven for those of us that love color. We will see color on everything, from shoes, to bags to dresses etc. !  This is definitely one of the boldest trends of the season. So, don't be afraid to wear one or more of these colors; forget about people that say you can't mix red and orange or purple and turquoise, this is the time to let go and shine!

No recuerdo la ultima vez que vi tanto color en las pasarelas, y es que esta primavera/verano va a ser muy colorida.  El "color" es una tendencia que viene con mucha fuerza esta temporada. Lo vamos a ver en zapatos, carteras, blusas, pantalones, vestidos etc.  Así que no tengas miedo de combinar colores, ya que todas las combinaciones están permitidas!!!  Olvidate de la personas que dicen que el rosa no va con el rojo, o que no puedes mezclar el morado con el turquesa ... ahora todo esta permitido! Así que arriesgate y crea tu propio look!

Many celebrities such as Camilla Belle, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez and Olivia Wilde have already stepped out in bright colors.  They look pretty hot don't they?  You can rock this look too, but if you are afraid to look like a rainbow, hahaha, stick to one bright color and pair it with a neutral one.

A celebridades como Camilla Belle, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez y Olivia Wilde ya se les vieron con atuendos muy coloridos. La verdad es que se les ve muy lindas.  Ahora es tu turno de llenar de color tu vida.  Si no eres tan atrevida, empieza con un color vivo y mezclalo con uno neutro.

La coleccion de Gucci Otoño/Invierno 2011 es una de mis preferidas.  Definitivamente es puro Glamour!!! Estoy completamente enamorada de los sombreros, los abrigo, los pantalones, los sacos, absolutamente adoro todo. Y ni que se diga de los colores, el corte y los materiales... Que opinas de esta coleccion?

My Wish List ... August

Today I decided to make my "wish list."  I know, I know,  it's not Christmas yet and my birthday already passed.  But I just wanted to share the things that I am loving right now with all of you!  I have been eyeing this Parker dress for a few weeks now. It looks so romantic, and I love the way the sleeves hang. The Joie boots are just to die for. I mean, look at them...WOW! The necklace just screams rock and roll. I could picture myself wearing it with a simple white t-shirt and boyfriend jeans - simply FAB. I also love this crop cargo pants.  The last thing on my wish list is the Betsey Johnson clutch. The color is just perfect!

Hoy  decidí crear una lista de las cosas que me encantan.  Ya se, todavía no es Navidad y mi cumpleaños ya paso, pero no me pude contener… jajaja. Este vestido se me hace tan  un romántico, las mangas me fascinan y el color también. Las botas ni se digan, se imaginan con un vestidito o una jeans pegaditos, WOW!!! El collar habla por si solo, es bien roquero y divino.   Estos cargos, los he visto hace semanas, y cada vez me gustan más. Y para terminar con mi lista de “caprichos” les muestro esta carterita fucsia que me enloquece…mmm ahora solo me queda soñar. ¿ Y a ti hay algo que te quite el sueño ultimamente?
