This weekend, I went to see one of my Queens, Karin, and we had the best time. We went shopping, we had the most delicious peruvian food, we went out and laughed like there was no tomorrow. I also got to spend time her four beautiful girls, they are little angels – love you girls!!! Don’t you just love spending time with your best friends? It’s literally the best! She has a photography business and I helped her style a few girls for a photo shoot, it was fun. She wanted to take a few pictures of me, but I was shy and refused, haha. But I let her take some pics with my camera! I love you Karin, thank you for everything!

Este fin de semana fui a visitar a una de mis Queens, Karin, y la pasamos super bien. Fuimos de compras, comimos riquisimo, salimos en la noche y nos reimos como locas, jaja. Ademas puede ver a sus cuatro hijitas, son una preciosura, las adoro. ¿No te encanta pasar tiempo con tus mejores amigas? Es lo máximo! I was going through my closet yesterday and I felt like wearing something different, something I usually wouldn't wear. That's how I came up with this outfit. I am sure you go through times, where you DON"T have anything to wear, hahaha. Or you just don't want to wear the stuff you already have in your closet. That's exactly what happened to me. But, I remember that I had just bought a pair of hot pink tights at American Apparel. So, I decided to wear them with this vintage dress I got last year. After all, one of the biggest spring/summer trends is color!

Me imagino que a ti te ha pasado lo mismo que a mi. Ayer me levante y no tenia ni idea de que ponerme, miraba mi closet y no sabia por donde empezar. Quería ponerme algo fuera de lo comun, asi que decidi arriesgarme con mi look. El resultado final fue este "outfit." Por lo general no me vas a ver vestida con colores tan fuertes a la vez, pero dije "si no es ahora, nunca" jajaja. Ademas te cuento cuento que una de las tendencias mas fuertes de primavera/verano es el color.

I have always loved dressing in these colors, especially if I am tan. I remember that as soon as I saw this sweater and skirt from H&M I had to get it - the color was screaming my name and the fit was perfect. I usually alter my clothes to fit me right, but I didn't have to do anything with the skirt, which was a plus. I know you have seen me wear these Miu Miu heels before, they are one of my favorite pair of shoes. They go with everything and they are super comfortable -something I have to keep in mind since I hurt my back. I loved them so much that I had to get them in brown and black, haha. Have you ever loved something so much you had to get them in two colors? You already know my answer, hahaha
Now, I better go and get ready for my interview with Univision tomorrow. I will be talking fashion, style and more. Wish me luck!

Siempre me ha encantado ponerme este tipo de colores, especialmente si estoy bronceada. Así que ni bien vi esta falda y chompa (sueter) me las tuve que comprar, ya que me quedan como anillo al dedo. Por lo general siempre voy al costurero para que me arregle la ropa, pero en este caso no fue necesario. Y como te habrás podido dar cuenta, estos tacones son uno de mis preferidos. Son super chic y comodisimos, algo que tengo que tener en cuenta desde que me lesione la espalda. Cuando los vi me gustaron tanto que me los compre en negro y marron. jajaja. Alguna vez te ha gustado algo tanto, que te lo has tenido que comprar en mas de un color? Tu ya sabes mi respuesta!
Ahora te dejo ya que me tengo que preparar y escoger mi "outftit" para mi entrevista con Univision mañana. Estaré hablando de moda, estilo y muchísimas cosas mas. Deseame suerte!

When I stepped out wearing this outfit I felt as if I was in the 70's. There was something magical about this outifit. I was even called "Cher" by a homeless guy at the beach...hahaha. I just can't help but fall in love with the 70's style. Everything was SO perfect! When I look at my mom's and dad's pictures I just want to go back in time. I could stare at my mom's dresses, pants, skirts, tops, shoes forever... Everything she wore was SO chic!

Ni bien me puse este "outfit" me sentí como si estuviera viviendo en los 70's. ¿Puedes creer que hasta me llamaron "Cher?" jajaja, quizas haya sido el color de cabello, o los jeans sueltos de Miss Sixty que llevaba. La verdad es que el estilo de los 70's era unico y envidiable, cuando veo fotos de mis papas, no hago mas que soñar despierta. Mi mama siempre se veía chic, ya sea cuando se ponía sus vestidos largos, sus pantalones acampanados, y ni que se diga de sus zapatos, todo era un sueño.
Clogs bring back great memories, I remember that my aunt Pilar bought me my first pair of clogs when I was 7. They were chocolate leather brown with holes. They were fabulous! So, as soon as I stepped into this Jefrey Campbell clogs you know I was in heaven. I added a blouse, which to me, is the perfect cut, material and color. Just lovely. To complete the laid-back look I wore my Miss Sixty jeans and my Stephanie DVF bag. I was happier than ever. What do you think about the 70's style? Would love to read your comments.

Los suecos me traen tantas memorias, recuerdo que mi tia Pilar me compro mi primer par cuando tenia apenas 7 años. Eran de color marron con huequitos y por supuesto eran mis zapatos preferidos. Por eso cuando me puse estos suecos de Jeffrey Campbell me senti en las nubes.
