Visiting H&M and Siempre Mujer Magazine in NYC

 

I just wanted  to share a few pictures from NYC. I am wearing one of my favorite H&M skirts, it hugs you in the right places, if you know what I'm talking about, haha! The funny part is that when I went to visit H&M heaquarters they had not seen this skirt before. Who would of thought the West Coast got shippment before the East Coast ha?

Solo quería compartir mas fotitos de mi viaje a Nueva York. Esta falda de H&M es una de mis preferidas y es que te forma mucho el cuerpo.  Te cuento que cuando fui a visitar las oficinas de H&M, no habían visto esta falda todavía. Lo que pasa esta falda llego a California antes que a Nueav York ¿quien diría verdad?

Visiting "Siempre Mujer" magazine. I am seriously addicted to this magazine. I barely read a magazine from beginning to end, but that was not the case with this one. I had a great time meeting Ursula Carranza, Executive Editor of the magazine and Haymme Marin, Website Editor of the magazine.

Color Explosion

Since this H&M dress already has a lot going on, I decided to keep the rest of the outfit very simple. Can you tell I am not wearing my signature cocktail rings? I just threw on some gold earrings and I was ready to rock!

Neon & Neutral

So, my mom and I spent the day together, we had so much fun.  We went shopping and then to dinner at  "La Mar, an amazing peruvian restaurant. I wanted to celebrate mother's day earlier since I have the most amazing mom.  I love her with all my heart and I am so thankful to have her as a mom.  If one day I blessed with children, I hope I can be just like her.

Hoy la pase todo el dia con mi mama, fuimos de compras y luego a cenar a "La Mar" un restaurante peruano riquisimo!!! Como mañana se celebra el dia de la madre, quise pasar este dia con mi mama. La verdad es que pensandolo bien, deberiamos celebrar a nuestras mamas todos los dias, porque como ellas no hay dos! Yo no se que haria sin mi mama, nunca he conocido mejor mama que ella y la amo con toda mi alma.  Si algun dia Dios me bendice con hijos, espero ser tan buena mama, como lo es mi mama conmigo.

Cargo Pants

I have been wearing a lot of skirts and dresses lately, so I wanted to mix it up a little.  That's why I decided to wear this cargo pants yesterday. OMG now that I think about it, I wore this pants on my first blog post, of course I styled them different. To see how I wore them click here.

I have never been a watch kind of girl! I remember that my parents got me one in high school that I loved for 1 year and then I stopped wearing it.  But, for the past few moths I have been wanting to get a big gold watch, I have had no luck until I saw this Michael Kors gold rose watch. OMG I fell in love and had to get it!!!

Te cuento que nunca me han gustado mucho los relojes. Recuerdo que mis papas me regalaron uno lindo cuando estaba en el colegio, lo use todo un año y de repente me aburrí.  Pero hace meses estaba loca por comprarme uno bien grande y de oro (bueno dorado, jaja) pero ninguno me gusto hasta que encontré este de Michael Kors de oro rosa.. Ni bien lo vi me enamore!

Hispanicize 2011

Last week I had the pleasure to attend Hispanicize 2nd Annual PR & Social Media Conference at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel. I had an amazing time and met very nice and talented people. It was the perfect place to meet other bloggers, journalists, PR agencies, social media experts and more.

I was so excited when Manny Ruiz, CEO of Hispanicize and Papi Blogger, invited me to be part of a panel of fashion & beauty bloggers. I had the best time talking about my baby "Flor de Maria Fashion," my TV segments and my love for fashion.  To be honest with you, I was little nervous before the sessions started, but as soon as the microphones were on the nerves went away!

La semana pasada tuve la oportunidad de asistir a la segunda Conferencia Anual de Relaciones Publicas y Medios Sociales Hispanos de Hispanicize en el hotel Renaissance de Hollywood. Durante los tres dias que duro la conferencia, tuve la oportunidad de conocer gente muy talentosa y linda. Era el lugar perfecto para conocer a otros blogueros, agencias de relaciones publicas, periodistas y mas.

Manny Ruiz, presidente de Hispanicize y Papi blogger, me invito a que sea parte del panel de moda y belleza; la verdad no podia estar mas contenta y agradecida. Hable de todo un poco, de mi blog, de mis segmentos de moda en Univision/Telefutura y mi pasion por la moda!

Pasadena Flea Market

I am taking a break from wearing hats, well ....  not really, haha.  I just realized that I have been wearing a lot of hats lately.. so I am going to let my hair loose for the next couple of days!  On Sunday my friend and fellow fashion blogger Kristen and I decided to take some pictures by her house.  I couldn't help but fell in love with this house - it was gorgeous.  Then, we went to the Pasadena Flea Market - it was my first time - and we had the best time!

Te cuento que voy a dejar a mis lindos sombreros descansar un rato; bueno ...  siquiera hasta la proxima semana, jajaja. Es que recien me doy cuenta que la ultima semana me los he puesto hasta para ir a dormir, jaja, bueno eso es broma! Aprovechando que estaba en Los Angeles,  el domingo mi amiga Kristen y yo nos fuimos al mercado de Pasadena.  La verdad es que había escuchado maravillas de ese lugar y me moria por ir.  Eso si, como buenas blogueras, antes tomamos unas fotos para nuestros blogs ... dime si esta casa no es una maravilla!

Once at the Pasadena Flea Market I was trying to get my hands on some vintage stuff.  Mission accomplished ... because I got two amazing vintage dresses - very 70's.  A little alteration and they will be perfect.  I also got a gorgeous jacket and the earrings below!

Estando ya en el mercado de Pasadena, me compre dos vestidos vintage (de los 70's). Me hicieron recordar a los que mi mama usaba en esa epoca.  Eso si, los tengo que mandar al costurero a que me los arregle, porque no me quedan muy bien que digamos. I'm sorry I have been a little MIA ... like I told you on facebook and twitter I went to LA for a conference.  I had the best time - I will do a post about it in the next couple of days - I learned so much and met so many talented people.  After the conference I met up with one of my girls, Kristen, and had a fabulous time! I met Kristen in NY through one of my bffs Lizette. I remember the first time I met her, she reminded me of Carrie Bradshaw - you know I am obsessed with her!!!  Kristen has the best style ever, I went nuts looking at all her jewelry and shoes!!! She has a fashion blog too, Style Wax Poetic. You definitely need to check it out!!!

Mis queens!!!

Yo se, he estado un poco perdida ultimamente. Pero como te conte en facebook y twitter estuve en la conferencia de Hispanicize en Los Angeles y estuve a mil. Casi no tuve tiempo ni de dormir, jajaja, en serio ... no estoy bromeando. En un par de dias voy a hacer un post con todas las fotos que tome .... empezando con las de Minnie y Mickey!!!!  En fin, despues de mi conferencia me encontre con mi amiga Kristen, es divina y tiene un estilo barbaro.
